Location: Mendon/Northborough

 

Reports To: Boys Director of Coaching

 

Employment Type: Full Time – Salaried– Exempt

 

NEFC is a not for profit premier soccer club which develops and trains youth soccer players, ages 6-23 in Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Rhode Island. Through a staff of over 85 NEFC trains over 3000 youth players.

 

Nature of Work:

 

Provide expert level coaching for NEFC players & teams. Coaching staff will play an active role in supporting & developing the club’s player development programs within the guidelines established by NEFC, MLS, and Boys ECNL

 

 

Examples of work performed:

 

  • Coach assigned team(s) within the Boys Academy
  • Work under the direction of the Boys DOC in recruitment, tryouts, selection, training, evaluation and retention of Academy players.
  • Implementation of the Academy’s curriculum with assigned team using club’s philosophy and methodology.
  • Video analysis of all Academy games – collective & individual feedback.
  • Establish & maintain player development players for assigned players.
  • Track player attendance & competition minutes.
  • Proactively manage players & address questions & concerns.
  • Complete US Soccer and MLS paperwork as required.
  • Travel as required

Qualifications

 

  • The required coaching degrees, such as the USSF B license and/or a similar level coaching qualification as UEFA A Youth License
  • A minimum of (3) years of experience as a coach within professional and/or youth soccer
  • Proven knowledge of the American soccer system
  • Proven knowledge and experience of developing young athletes at elite level
  • Desirable experience as a professional or semi-professional soccer player
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills

SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for delivering coaching sessions at Player Development Programs at selected sites throughout the New England Region. Areas looking to hire include Central Ma, Metro Boston, Southern Ma, Western Ma, Southern New Hampshire, and Rhode Island

Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

  • The Staff will report directly to the Regional Director.
  • Aid in the development of players for the assigned team(s) during practices, games and tournaments through Fall, Winter and Spring seasons.
  • The Club Coach will work with the Regional Director and club members in achieving club and player goals.
